  1. 01

    Glyph emission

Foreground-aware text shadows. Adjustable spread, a legible core, and a per-region sharp-text escape hatch.

    glow
  2. 02

    Raster

Fixed horizontal lines and an RGB mask. Native text remains selectable above the page background.

    raster
  3. 03

    Glass

Edge falloff and reflected light. Independent of raster strength and palette selection.

  4. 04

    Ambient light

An optional pointer-responsive WebGL layer. Rendering settles at idle; CSS supplies the fallback.

Integration

Configuration

Load src/core.css and optionally src/components.css first. The website also loads src/fonts.css and uses data-ph-font="victor-mono". Then use these local modules with an existing HTML container.

Usage notes

Display controls

All documentation · API reference · Palette catalog

Presentation
Website uses larger type and stronger text glow. Dashboard uses smaller type and less glow.
Palette
Twelve palettes are included. Changes semantic colors only. Layout, font, density, and content remain the same.
Optical controls
Glow softness adjusts text-shadow radius and strength. Raster controls the stationary line and RGB mask; Glass controls vignette and reflection. All three accept 0–100 and are included in exported configurations. Code and input text stay sharp.
Density
Adjusts panel and table spacing without shrinking the type.
Effects
Ambient adds light that responds to the pointer. Static CRT keeps glow and glass. Off removes decorative treatment. Crisp text removes text halos independently.

Reduced motion pauses ambient rendering and retains static styling. All samples use invented data; no service is connected.

The toolkit has an experimental API. No package has been published. The toolkit code is GPL-3.0-only, without warranty. Eight community palettes are adapted from pinned public sources. Their upstream MIT notices and the Victor Mono font’s OFL license are included in Third-party credits.
